Sangeeta was born to Mahavir Singh Phogat (father) and Daya Kaur (mother). Mahavir Singh Phogat is a popular Olympics coach, politician, Internet sensation, and Politician. He trained all his daughters in wrestling and all the Phogat sisters won medals in International Wrestling competitions.

Let me tell you that she was the first Indian female wrestler to appear in Olympic Summer Games. Babita Kumari Phogat is the second sister of Sangeeta. Babita earned a gold medal in wrestling at Commonwealth Games 2014.

Sangeeta Phogat is a young, pretty, and talented wrestler. She dated her fellow wrestler named Bajrang Punia. In an interview, she said that she met Punia for the first time during a camp. After meeting him, they exchanged their numbers and start talking with each other.

After a few months, Bajrang proposed to her and Sangeeta said ‘Yes!’. According to the sources, they tied the knot on 25 November 2020. Only family members, close friends, and relatives were invited to the wedding. 

Bajrang Punia is a well-known Indian wrestler and Olympic athlete. He competed in many competitions in the 65-kg weight category. He also took part in the ‘Tokyo Olympics 2020’ and won a bronze medal for the country. Moreover, he also won several medals at the World Wrestling Championships.
