On 16 August 2021, VJ Anandha Kannan died after battling cancer in his hometown. At the time of his death, he was 48 years old. All the family members, VJ Anandha’s wife ‘Rani’, children, son, daughter, parents, and relatives are in deep shock after knowing this sad tragic news.

After completing his graduation, he started giving Auditions in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. Later, he was selected to play a small guest appearance role in Saroja (2008) movie. After this little fame, he got a big opportunity to act in the Savaal Singapore Vasantham TV Show. In this Television Show, he was a TV Host/Anchor.

Later, he moved to Chennai to work as a Video Jockey (VJ) in Sun Music (Sun Network Company). After working for few years, he became one of the most popular VJ of that time.

In 2021, he signed his first movie (as lead role) i.e. Adhisaya Ulagam (2012). This film is in the Tamil language, and the genre of this movie is a science fantasy film.

VJ Anandha Kannan also acted in the lead role in Mullum Malarum (2010) movie along with his co-Anchor Prajin. But, this film does not release to the public due to some financial issues. Due to some bad luck, his other movie Ithanai Naalai Engirunthai (2012) also not released worldwide. In Ithanai Naalai Engirunthai (2012) he was paired with Manochitra (Actress).

In July 2008, he became the brand ambassador of Naturals Spa & Salon. In 2013, he hosted Savaal Singapore – Season 1 TV Show. Due to his brilliant anchoring, he hosted the 5 season of this show.

In 2013, he won ‘International Youth Icon Award” which was held at World Universities Tamil Conference.He also won the ‘Best Actor Award’ from Guild Award (South India).
